I’m knitting this scarf out of ‘yarn’ that I made from an old t-shirt. I can’t tell yet whether it will be all cool-raw-simplicity like Japanese Pinterest bait or way naff.

It was my first day of legit full-time work in a design role which is exciting. I’ve been in and out of periods of sadness and inertia lately, so the opportunity for full-time work has been surprising but also, a thing that I think will help me (and my employer) heaps. I’m trying new, more constructive methods of self-care lately. I’ve let my eyebrows run wild for the first time since I was about 11-years-old. I still wax the mono, though. A girl needs to adhere to some rigid Western beauty standards. Them motherfuckers are huge now.

I also moved into the front room of my house. It’s fully faux pine laminate veneer panelled and has a giant oak wardrobe that runs across one wall. It makes me feel like I’m living in a log cabin. I packed away all my things and installed a non-blockout blind yesterday (because I miss my north-facing window). Downside to this room is that I can hear the brawls and the Christian rock from the church across the street a lot clearer. My new room isn’t under our house’s possum roof run route, so there’s that. It’s the eighth (8) room I’ve lived in in the five (5) years I’ve had a Tumblr.

This scarf will look terrible, guaranteed.
